אֲדָמָה/AD-uh-muh/

Ground or red earth

Summary

A fortified city in the territory of Naphtali, located near the Sea of Galilee.

Identity

Adamah was one of the fortified cities assigned to the tribe of Naphtali, listed between Chinnereth and Ramah in Joshua's description of the tribal allotments. It is possibly the same as Adami mentioned in the same chapter. The site has been identified with a ruin called Admah on the plateau about ten miles north of Beth-shean.
