Uzai is mentioned only as the father of Palal, one of those who aided in the reconstruction of the walls of Jerusalem after the Babylonian captivity under Nehemiah's leadership. His son Palal worked on the section of the wall opposite the corner and the tower projecting from the upper palace near the court of the guard.
