Genealogy

Rakem was the son of Sheresh and a descendant of Machir, son of Manasseh. He appears only in 1 Chronicles 7:16. The name is a pausal form of Rekem and means 'flower garden' or 'variegated.' He was part of the eastern Manassite clan that settled in Gilead.
