A Korahite Levite who served as a gatekeeper of the tabernacle.

'Of the Korhites: Meshelemiah the son of Kore... And his brethren, strong men, were eighteen' (1 Chronicles 9:21; 26:1-2). He guarded 'the door of the tabernacle' and was called Shelemiah elsewhere. His son Zechariah was 'porter of the door of the tabernacle' (1 Chronicles 9:21).
