A Simeonite whose son Jehu was among the princes of Simeon during the reign of King Hezekiah.

Identity

Josibiah was the father of Jehu, who was one of the princes of Simeon mentioned in 1 Chronicles 4:35. These Simeonite leaders lived during the reign of King Hezekiah and led an expansion into the valley of Gedor and against the Amalekites at Mount Seir (1 Chronicles 4:39-43). The name means 'Yahweh causes to dwell.'
