☩Musical Service
Joshbekashah was one of the fourteen sons of Heman the singer who were appointed to the service of music in the house of the Lord. According to 1 Chronicles 25:4, 24, he was designated leader of the seventeenth course or division of Temple musicians. These Levitical musicians prophesied with harps, psalteries, and cymbals in the worship services organized by David. Some scholars suggest that several of the names in this list, including Joshbekashah, may actually be words of a prayer rather than personal names, though this is uncertain.
