Summary

A Benjamite, son of Pedaiah, whose descendant Sallu was among those who settled in Jerusalem after the Babylonian exile.

Identity

Joed was a son of Pedaiah and an ancestor of Sallu, who was among the Benjamites who resided in Jerusalem after the return from Babylonian captivity (Nehemiah 11:7). His name means 'Yahweh is witness' or 'for whom Jehovah is witness.'
