A son of Asaph and head of the seventh division of Levitical musicians appointed by David; also called Asarelah in an earlier verse of the same chapter.

Jesharelah was the head of the seventh of the twenty-four divisions into which the musicians of the Levites were organized (1 Chronicles 25:14). He was a son of Asaph, the famous musician and psalmist. His name means 'upright towards God.' In 1 Chronicles 25:2, the same person is called Asarelah, which is an equivalent name with the same meaning. He served around 1014 B.C.
