Summary

A chief of the tribe of Gad who resided in Bashan.

Identity

Jaroah was the son of Gilead and father of Huri, a Gadite chief living in Bashan east of the Jordan. His name possibly means 'born under the new moon.' He appears in the genealogical records of Gad among those who inhabited the territories east of the Jordan.
