Jamlech
יַמְלֵךְ/JAM-lek/
“May he (God) cause to reign, or whom God makes king”
☩Identity
Jamlech was one of the princes or chiefs of the tribe of Simeon (1 Chronicles 4:34). If 1 Chronicles 4:41 refers to the preceding list, he lived in the time of Hezekiah when the Simeonites expanded their territory by conquering the Hamites and Meunites who dwelt in Gedor.
