Summary

An Ahohite who was one of David's mighty warriors, also called Zalmon.

Identity

Ilai the Ahohite was one of David's thirty mighty men. In the parallel passage in 2 Samuel, he is called Zalmon the Ahohite. The Ahohites were descendants of Ahoah, a Benjamite, and produced several of David's elite warriors.
