Haruz was a citizen of Jotbah and the father of Meshullemeth, who became the wife of King Manasseh and mother of King Amon of Judah.
☩Grandfather of a King
Haruz of Jotbah was the maternal grandfather of King Amon of Judah. His daughter Meshullemeth married King Manasseh, the longest-reigning but most wicked king of Judah, and bore him Amon, who continued his father's early idolatrous practices during his brief two-year reign. The name Haruz means "eager" or "zealous."
