Summary

A eunuch of King Ahasuerus who conspired to assassinate the king but was exposed by Mordecai.

The Conspiracy

Bigthan (also called Bigthana) and Teresh, two of the king's eunuchs who guarded the doorway, plotted to assassinate King Ahasuerus. Mordecai learned of the plot and reported it through Queen Esther. The conspirators were hanged, and the event was recorded in the royal chronicles, later resulting in Mordecai's honor.
