Ben-Geber ('son of Geber,' from a Hebrew root meaning 'to be strong') was one of the twelve commissariat officers in the service of Solomon. He was stationed in Ramoth-gilead, overseeing the towns of Jair in Gilead and the region of Argob in Bashan, which included sixty great cities with walls and bronze bars.
