Father of False Prophet

Azur was the father of Hananiah, a prophet from Gibeon who falsely prophesied that Babylon's yoke would be broken within two years and the temple vessels and exiles returned. Jeremiah confronted him, declaring that Hananiah would die that same year for prophesying falsely—which came to pass.
