The network of bronze that formed part of the altar of sacrifice in the tabernacle.

Description

The grate was a network or grating of bronze placed at the bottom of the great altar of sacrifice. It was positioned horizontally so that cinders and ashes could pass through while allowing a draft of air to supply the fire. The grate extended halfway up the altar and had four rings through which carrying poles were inserted.
