Summary

Timnath was a town in the territory of Judah where Samson took his Philistine wife.

Samson's Connection

Samson went down to Timnath and saw a Philistine woman whom he desired as wife. On the way there, he killed a lion with his bare hands. Later he found honey in the lion's carcass, inspiring the riddle he posed at his wedding feast. The town was located on the border between Judah and Philistia.
