A city in the hill country of Judah, located in the group of settlements west-southwest of Hebron.
☩Location
Eshean was a city in the mountains of Judah, mentioned between Dumah and Janum in the list of towns in the hill country group west-southwest of Hebron. It should not be confused with Ashan, which was in the lowland. Some identify Eshean with the ruins of es-Simia or Khursa southwest of Hebron.
