Betonim was a town in the territory of Gad, mentioned in connection with Ramath-mizpeh and Mahanaim in the description of Gad's boundaries. It is probably identified with a ruined village called Batneh (or Batneh) on Mount Gilead, about five miles west of es-Salt.
