One of the fortified cities of Naphtali from which the Canaanites were not driven out but made tributary.

Naphtali's Fortified City

Beth-anath was one of the 'fenced cities' of the tribe of Naphtali, named alongside Beth-shemesh. The Israelites failed to expel the Canaanite inhabitants, instead making them tributaries. It is possibly identified with the modern village Ainata, north of Bint-Jebeil in southern Lebanon.
