Anab was one of the cities in the mountains of Judah, mentioned alongside Debir and Hebron as former dwelling places of the Anakim. Joshua expelled these giants from the city during the conquest of Canaan. The site has been identified with a place still called Anab, about ten miles south-southwest of Hebron, distinguished by a small tower.
