A son of Zophah of the tribe of Asher, listed among the heads of fathers' houses and mighty warriors.

Identity

Shamma was the eighth of eleven sons of Zophah, a descendant of Asher. His family is recorded among the 'choice and mighty men of valor, chief of the princes' whose military enrollment totaled twenty-six thousand men. Beyond this genealogical listing, nothing further is known about him.
