Pildash
פִּלְדָּשׁ/PIL-dash/
“Steely; or flame of fire”
☩Lineage
Pildash is listed in Genesis 22:22 as one of the eight sons of Nahor, Abraham's brother, by his wife (and niece) Milcah. This information came to Abraham through a report of family news after the near-sacrifice of Isaac. The settlement of Pildash's descendants has not been identified with certainty, though some have compared the name to Ripalthas, a place in northeastern Mesopotamia—though this resemblance may be coincidental.
