“Returned or restored”
Summary
Meshobab was a chief of the tribe of Simeon who led his enlarged clan to seek new pasturelands during the reign of Hezekiah.
☩Migration for Pasture
Meshobab headed a list of Simeonite chiefs whose families had grown so large that they needed to seek additional territory for their flocks. During Hezekiah's reign, these Simeonites migrated to the entrance of Gedor, where they found rich pasturage and conquered a Hamite settlement. They also struck the Maonites in Edomite territory, settling in their place.
