Jesui was a son of Asher whose descendants, the Jesuites, were numbered in the census taken in the plains of Moab at the Jordan near Jericho (Numbers 26:44). He is the same person called Isui in Genesis 46:17 and Ishuai in 1 Chronicles 7:30. The name means 'even' or 'level.'
