Jehoadah
יְהוֹעַדָּה/jeh-HOH-uh-duh/
“Jehovah is his ornament, or whom Jehovah adorns”
☩Identity
Jehoadah was the son of Ahaz and father of Alemeth and others in the line of descendants from Saul through Mephibosheth (1 Chronicles 8:36). In the parallel passage (1 Chronicles 9:42), the same person is called Jarah, which is probably a scribal error or variant form of the name. The genealogy traces the line of Saul's descendants after the main line of kings had ended.
