Summary

A Levite musician appointed by David for temple worship, head of the fourth division.

Identity

Izri was a son of Jeduthun who led the fourth course of temple musicians organized by David. When lots were cast to determine the order of musical service, the fourth fell to Izri and his sons and brothers, twelve in all. He is also called Zeri in an earlier list.
