A Levite who participated in the public prayer and confession during the solemn fast after the return from Babylonian captivity.
☩Role in Worship
Chenani was one of the Levites who led the people in worship during a day of national confession and prayer after the return from exile around 459 BC. Standing on the stairs, he and other Levites cried out with a loud voice to the Lord, leading the congregation in prayer.
