One of the sons of Pahath-Moab who divorced his foreign wife after the Babylonian exile in obedience to Ezra's command.
☩Identity
Chelal was among those of the house of Pahath-Moab who had taken foreign wives during the exile. When Ezra called for the people to separate from their foreign spouses, Chelal complied around 458 BC.
