Summary
The name of two men in the Old Testament: a son of Nahor whose descendants formed an Arabian tribe, and a Gadite.
☩Son of Nahor
Buz was the second son of Nahor and Milcah, and brother of Uz. His descendants apparently settled in Arabia, as Jeremiah pronounces judgment upon Buz in connection with Tema and Dedan, Arabian peoples. Elihu, who spoke in the book of Job, was called 'the Buzite,' indicating his descent from this Buz.
