Adina was the son of Shiza, a Reubenite who distinguished himself as one of David's mighty warriors. He served as a captain of thirty of his fellow tribesmen from Reuben, commanding soldiers from the territory beyond the Jordan. His name appears in the supplementary list of David's warriors found in Chronicles, which extends the list given in 2 Samuel.
